Keeping Our Neighborhoods Safe and Standing Up for Public Safety

There is nothing more important to me than public safety. As your Councilwoman, I have been a consistent supporter of policies that improve public safety and support our police officers and we have seen real results! In 2025, crime dropped 15% in our Council district and violent crime has dropped even further. I have been an outspoken advocate for adopting a zero-tolerance policy to crimes that affect the quality of life in Mesa. I have also protected our neighborhoods by opposing placing homeless shelters close to our neighborhoods. As your Councilwoman, I have led the effort to ensure that our police department has the resources it needs to keep our community safe. I am proud to say that I have the full endorsement of the Mesa Police Association.

Protecting Your Tax Dollars

When it comes to government spending, I will never waver from my commitment to always be frugal and responsible with your tax dollars. I have fought to ensure that Mesa’s government is fiscally responsible and does not waste the public’s money. These efforts include the formation of the Office of Innovation and Efficiency that is focused on ensuring Mesa’s government uses your tax dollars wisely. While on the Council, I have also consistently opposed wasteful spending and ensured that Mesa’s budget is always balanced.

Strengthening Mesa’s Economy

One of my top priorities as your Councilwoman has been to fight for policies that strengthen Mesa’s economy. I have fought tirelessly to bring good jobs to our city by encouraging companies to relocate to Mesa, and we have seen results with several major employers like Gulfstream, Xnrgy, and Hadrian bringing new jobs to our city! I believe that when Mesa’s economy is strong, we can keep taxes down while ensuring high quality government services.

Protecting Mesa’s Quality of Life

The one thing we all have in common is that we have all chosen to call Mesa our home. We’ve chosen to live, work, and raise our families here. There is nothing more important to me than maintaining our quality of life. That’s why I’ve been outspoken about the need to keep homelessness and the crime that comes with it in check. It’s why I have pushed to ensure that new development does not negatively affect the quality of life in our neighborhoods. And it’s why I will always ensure our neighborhoods come first.
