About Alicia

Alicia Goforth was elected to represent District 5 on the Mesa City Council in 2022. On the City Council, Alicia is focused on policies that protect our neighborhoods, strengthen public safety, and protect Mesa’s quality of life. She is a commonsense conservative who has also been a leading voice on the City Council for keeping taxes down, utility rates under control, and ensuring that our tax dollars are spent frugally and efficiently.

Alicia is endorsed for reelection by Mesa Mayor Mark Freeman, the Mesa Police Association, and the United Firefighters of Mesa.

Prior to her election to the City Council, Alicia worked as an attorney with a major international law firm and served as outside counsel to multiple corporations. While volunteering in her children’s schools, Alicia championed in-school and after-school programs to encourage inter-cultural understanding and respect. She is also volunteer liaison with AFS Intercultural Programs where she assists international exchange students and their host families.

Alicia and her husband have lived in Mesa for 15 years. They are the parents of three children and live in the Las Sendas neighborhood.
